Legal Requirements for Weddings on Tobago
Both parties must be in Trinidad and Tobago at least THREE DAYS prior to the date of the intended marriage. THE DAY OF ARRIVAL IS NOT COUNTED IN THE THREE DAY PERIOD.
Both parties must produce identification and proof of entry documentation, i.e. passports and tickets in/out of Trinidad and Tobago and must make a personal appearance at the wedding licence issuing office. Documented proof is required, in English, if divorced or widowed. If under 18 years of age, written consent of the parent or guardian is essential.
